Figure: Phoenix (X-Men by Toybiz)
Completed: around 1998-1999
Details: When I first saw the Phoenix figure, I knew I had to make a Vertigo figure out of it. The outstretched hand was perfect. As an added bonus, the figure didn't have hardly any molded on accessories.
I sanded down the one wait strap that was on the side of the figure. Everything else was paint work. I was lucky to find that weird green color in a fabric shop one day.
I'm very pleased with this figure, although she probably looks a little tougher than she actually is in the comics.
