Colossus

Entire Figure: Krull (X-Force by Toybiz)
Completed: around 1995

Details: I've never been a big fan of Colossus, but I do like the visual design of him and the contrast that he provides to the other X-men characters. My favorite Colossus uniform is shirtless, with the large belt.

The figure is a modified Krull. The skull and ponytail were removed from the head and putty was used to make the hair. The belt was made from putty as well. The belt buckle is a button with the holes filed in. Also putty was used to make the boots over the bare feet.

The base is a piece of wood that I cut into a circle and then varnished, stained, and sealed. The metal beam in the back was made from a long piece of "U" shaped aluminum. Two pieces of this were placed back to back and epoxied together to form the "I" beam. The bends were them cut and soldered together. The pipes on the base were from some old plumbing scrap and the wire was from a junk box.
