DC Direct's Batman:Hush Series 1

I've had these for a few weeks now and have been enjoying having them take over one of my selves (booting the Danger Girls to a different location).

Batman

It's the Caped Crusader, the Dark Knight, the Bat himself, Batman! I love this figure. When I saw it, I had to rush out and by a second one just to customize on.

Batman features a ball jointed head, ball jointed shoulders, elbow, swivel at the top of the right glove, hips, knees.

For accessories, he comes with the standard Batman logo base with four foot pegs and he comes with a second right hand that is holding a grappling hook launcher. Very cool looking.

The stance on this figure is great. No matter what pose you put him in, he looks great. This truly is THE Batman figure to have (along with DCD's Silver Age Batman).

Of course, I would have loved to have had a removable left hand as well, and a removable cape, and a waist swivel. Also a baterang from the Silver Age sets would have been nice. Most importantly, I wish his left knee joint wasn't as such an odd angle. When you put him in a setting position, he's left legs bends in at an odd angle.

Joker

I was least interested in this figure when I they were originally advertised. Once I got it, I found that I really liked the "crazed" look that it has.

This guy is a powerhouse of articulation. The Joker has a ball jointed head, jointed jaw, swivel shoulder joints, upper arm swivel, elbow joints, wrist swivel, a weird waist joint that is some type of ball joint, hips, and knees.

He comes with the standard logo base and four footpeg, and the great revolver with "BANG" flag.

I was really afraid that the jointed jaw would take away from the figure, but it doesn't. His jaw doesn't really stay in place, it's just kind of there, so according to where his head is, determines how big his mouth is open.

I can't really think of anything else that would make this figure an better. Yes, it's that cool.

Jason Todd/Clayface - ToyFair Exclusive

This was an obvious choice for an exclusive. It basically required a new headsculpt and repainting the logos on the Hush figure. Still, it's very cool looking.

Jason Todd/Clayface features a swivel neck, swivel shoulders, elbow, wrist swivel, hips, and knees.

He comes with the standard logo stand and four footpegs.

WARNING - If you get one of these, be careful with the hands, I nearly broke off his left hand when I turned it the first time. Apparently the peg was stuck in the arm.

I read somewhere that these figures were originally supposed to all have interchangeable hands. I wish it had happened, I mean, this guy didn't even hold a gun in the Hush storyline. I baterang was what he needed in his hand.

Even though he has the same body as Hush, on the shelf, the too can be posed so that they don't really look the same. I'm not a super big fan of the headsculpt, just because it looks less detailed than the other figures in the line. Then again, he was kind of unrefined looking in the comic. Great figure, I HIGHLY recommend you get one. Remember, DCD is going to be releasing a Tim Drake figure in the Teen Titan's line, so you'll need this guy to kidnap him.

Huntress

I wasn't expecting much from this figure, just thinking that it was going to be pretty much a static posed figure. While that's partially true, it's still a great looking addition to the Batman shelf.

Ball jointed head, ball jointed shoulders, elbow, hips (the straps/pouches aren't attached to the legs), knees.

She comes with the standard logo base and four foot pegs, plus a removable staff. Yes, the gun is molded into her hand.

No doubt, this was taken from a Jim Lee drawing. That "cocked hip" is signature Jim Lee. The headsculpt is flawless.

One thing of note, she doesn't stand well without he logo base.

Poison Ivy

I was most excited about this figure, for no other reason that it was a great customizing base. The figure did not disappoint, although she doesn't stand for long periods.

She has a ball jointed head, ball jointed shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees.

She comes with the standard logo base and four foot pegs. She also comes with a rubbery vine, that I can't really figure out what you're supposed to do with it. I just set it on the base to make it look like it's growing on it.

The head sculpt is perfect. The detail in the hair is amazing. Her head seems to be a little large for her body, though.

One word of warning on this figure, she doesn't like to stand at all. Even with the base and foot peg. I've lost count of how many time's she's fallen so far.

Hush

The new villain that was so cool, they named the story arch after him. This is one awesome figure that I recommend you pick up. Hey, it's a villain, and there aren't enough of them these days in the toy world.

Hush has a swivel head, swivel shoulders, elbows, swivel wrists, hips, and knees.

Because of the turtleneck, Hush doesn't have a ball jointed neck. Kind of makes it hard for him to look down.

Even though it's somewhat simple, I love the costume Jim designed for Hush. It was cool looking in the comic and looks even better in toy form.
